For the Canon Pixma MP830 and MP530 Multifunction Printer / Fax / Scanner
How to set Faxability for New Zealand Use:
Problem: A batch of these multifunction printers has arrived in New Zealand with the wrong country code selected.
1. Hold down the Stop reset button untill the Alarm signals 12 times
2. Scroll through till menu item #3 Fax Type and press <OK> button
3. Scroll through menu until New Zealand for country and press <OK>
4. Turn off the Pixma MP830, then turn it on again
5. Follow the procedure below (also on the canon website) and select Network switch mode f. which will now be available on the menu where it was not previously.
How to set the Receive mode settings

1. Press the FAX button, then the Menu button.
2. Use the right/left cursor button to select Receive mode settings, then press the OK button.
3. Use the up/down cursor button to select the receive mode, then press the OK button.

Select the receive mode according to your needs.
Memo:
Caller ID is available when the receive mode is in Manual RX or Ans.machine connect.

Memo:
If you are far from your machine, you can use the remote receiving function to receive faxes.
Pick up the handset of the telephone connected to the machine and press 25 (the remote receiving ID).

First the answering machine connected to your machine will respond to an incoming call, and then the machine will receive faxes automatically.

In order to avoid possible annoyance, adjust your answering machine as follows:
- Set the answering machine to answer on the first or second ring.
- The entire message should be no longer than 15 seconds.
- Set the answering machine to answer on the first or second ring.

Enable Manual/auto switch in RX settings.
d. FAX/TEL auto switch

Memo:
- Ring start timing and Telephone ring length can be specified in FAX/TEL auto switch in the Receive mode settings.
- If you want the telephone to ring when it receives a fax, connect a telephone to your machine and enable the Incoming ring settings in RX settings.
- The machine does not ring depending on the telephone type you are using.
- If you want the telephone to ring when it receives a fax, connect a telephone to your machine and enable the Incoming ring settings in RX settings.

e. DRPD
